"This old man is back from the Philippines for the first time in 10 years, señorita."
—Kaburagi Juuzou to Alyosha Harchenko.
Kaburagi Juuzou is the founder of the Kaburagi-ryu Karate, and the 1st president. He taught Tachibana Sougo and Izumi Koushou. Juuzou has two sons, with one of them being the former second president of the Kaburagi-ryu Karate International Organization, Kaburagi Shigemi. It is initially thought Kaburagi Juuzou has died years prior to the manga's story, due to how most characters believed he died and the portrait from the Second Karate Club makes it look he passed away but in Chapter 306, it was revealed Juuzou was actually in the Philippines for 10 years before the start of the manga.
Biography[]
Founding The Kaburagi-ryu Karate[]
At some point in his life, Kaburagi Juuzou created the Kaburagi-ryu Karate along with the Kaburagi-ryu Karate International Organization decades before the manga's start. The Kaburagi-ryu Karate Organization also had an extension named Koudan Kaikan, with Juuzou being the director of this intended extension but for unexplained reasons, Izumi Koushou (who was at the time the pupil of Juuzou and in extension, Tachibana) decided to kick both of them out and takeover the entire Koudan Kaikan to become it's new director.
New Life To The Philippines[]
After the creation of the Kaburagi-ryu Karate and it's organization, Juuzou meet a woman from the Philippines in a certain Filipino club and the two fell in love for each others. After the wedding, Juuzou decided to set off to the Philippines and live with his wife for the rest of his life, much to the dismay of his students. In order to cover the shame of the founder's depart, the Three Ravens elaborate a false story about Juuzou passed away and chose a new president, Kaburagi Shigemi.
Returning To Japan[]
Juuzou would return to Japan, since he had problems with his wife and she doesn't allow him to live with him for some times and went to the erotic Russian pub place named the Red Bull, with Alyosha (taking the alias "Alyona") secretly working there. Juuzou told her to call Sougo and come over for a meeting.
